So Leigh and I got a membership at a new nearby gym. The place is massive and gorgeous, with many classes we're interested in taking. Leigh says we're going to become gym junkies... heh. We'll see.
In any case, we went to our first pump class there, the first pump class we've done for a month. And. I. am. SORE.
Tonight's aikido, should be interesting to see how we get through the class!

Oh boy was that a tough work out!
CHEST (all set of 10 reps)
Flat fly: 15-20-25
Flat press: 20-25-27.5
Incline fly: 15-22.5-25
Incline press: 20-22.5-25
Incline bench: Bar - Bar + 2x5 x2 (third set to 5)
Pull overs: 12-15-17.5
I tried to start higher on my flys this time I think. The main problem isn't my chest it's my shoulders that are crapping out faster. Stupid shoulders.

I went to the gym this week but didn't post the workouts. I did shoulders on tuesday and back yesterday. Tody I will do arms and legs, cause i'm crazy like that.
Last night I had a bit of a binge session with some soy crackers. At least I didn't stop for fries.

Right. Today was chest.
Flat fly (10 each of) 15 - 17.5 - 20 (st ay here)
Flat press (10 each of) 20 - 25 - 32.5 (stay here)
Incline fly (10 each of)12 - 15 - 20 (try 15-17.5-10)
Incline press 10x 20 - 8x 25 - 5x 27.5 (stay)
Decline ... should have happened and almost did, but I was so exhausted from pushing so hard that I went straight to
Pull overs 10 - 12 - 15 ... (start at 12 and go to 17.5) this is the second time ever that I do them so I'm ok with the weight
This is the highest that my weights have ever been. I'm really trying to give myself that boot in the rear I need.

Long time no post!
When we went to aikido last night, it was wonderful to feel full of energy again, though I stuffed up in what direction to step for katate mochi shihonage(1) right in front our sensei. So rookie of me, that was the first thing we ever learned!!! :( I think I'm just dyslexic that way, as part and parcel of being cackyhanded.
Breakfalling on the mats is wicked good fun!
So I'll post tomorrow's weights when I get through them. Up until very recently though, here are my weights for pump class. Bluey took a Body Pump class with me, but if Ryss hasn't seen one (I actually have no idea if they use the Les Mills system in Canada or not), the class is meant as a high rep/low weight freeweights class to music, a track for each muscle group. In each track, I guess you'd be doing 70-100 reps. So my weights don't go up all that quickly!!
Warm up track: 10kg (2x 5kg plates)
Squat track: either 12.5 or 15kg (2x5kg + either 2x 1.25kg or 2x 2.5kg plates)
Chest track: same as above
Back track: same as above
Tricep track: 12.5kg (2x 5kg + 2x1.25kg plates), some tracks use loose plates for the last minute or so, where I use 2x 2.5kg plates
Bicep track: I struggle with 10kg (2x 5kg plates) <--- biceps are my Achilles' Heel! (generally because my forearms are that tired from holding the bar from the last 3 tracks... but also because I'm just weak)
Lunge track: I rarely use weights for this, my own body weight is plenty!
Shoulder track: 10kg (2x 5kg plates) some tracks use loose plates for the middle minute or so, where I use 2x 2.5kg plates, some tracks involve pushups at the beginning too (ouch)
Ab track: no weights, just a shitload of crunches, reverse crunches, hovers, leg lifts... our instructor /really/ likes caning the class with abs...

So I've decided to start keeping a log here of the weights I'm actualy doing that way I can chart my progression or regression. I should have started on Monday but .... it was Monday.
So that's today. I think I'll be skipping tomorrow but going on Saturday depending on how things go.

I hate catch up days
So because I'm a huge slacker I had to play catch up at the gym today. I did shoulders and back and abs. I'm so tired! I feel so heavy but at the same time I feel very good. Tomorrow is arms... Fun.

I am exhausted. Did a lot at the gym today. Back and legs. I'm on a cutting program for legs cause they have enough bulk as it is... But now so tired. My poor little muscles.

Went to the gym this morning. Ouch.... So sore... I think I worked my shoulders more than my chest (which is what I was trying to work on)
I also just realised that I have a wedding reception to go to next week and I have nothing that I look good in. Any one know a "healthy" way to loose a few pounds quicky? Mainly in the belly region. I just need to fit into some clothes.

Ug. I went to the gym yesterday for the first time since Tuesday! I felt so awful too. I'm finding it hard to keep a constant schedual. I suppose it's just a matter of waking up in the morning.
I did however break a new record for obliques 52.5 pounds for my side bends! YAY! My forearms need some work (as well as the rest of me) but I know I can push when I need to.
The really hard part is the food. My diet is so erratic that I can't seem to lose the extra fat that will only come from diet. I have to do something about this, but when the budget is limited and produce rots so quickly, it makes eating right harder. I'm thinking I should get some before and after photos going, but I'm too scared to show off the before.

Yesterday I had an amazing workout.
Actually, it was more like a really really long one, (3 + hours) but it was nice and exhausting. The problem was that I wasn't exhausted at night, and by that I mean I was awake for a long time. Also, I am not sore today. At all.
I did my chest work out on Sunday, and then again last night, and I pushed harder last night than I did on Sunday, and I'm still not sore. I believe that this is a sign that I'm not doing as good a work out as I could be doing. Or rather, I have to up my weights, cause poking my chest doesn't hurt.
My main problem is still the food intake. It hasn't been as good as it could have been lately, but at least I'm not blind to it. I know that increasing my muscle without dropping the fat is going to put a lot of stress on my joints, but I just can't seem to find my limit break (oh God, I made a Final Fantasy reference) for fat burning.

I rejoined the gym!!
My brother will be training me, and he's there every day (crazy guy!!). Alls I need now is to get my bike in shape and hop on it. Cardio.
But I want to be all toned n sexy!
I want to lift my rump and my chest, lose the jelly and have abs and a muscular back.

I've been going to the gym pretty regular for the past few months. My weight hasn't really changed but I can see a lot more muscle on me. Now if I could only loose the fat as well.
I've decided to walk (bike or blade) every where this summer, and in an effort to do that I will not buy a bus pass. Of course there are times where I will need to take transportation, so I will take the Concordia shuttle bus as it is free to Con U students. I've already started this by walking every day to the gym. It's about the distance from Loyola campus to Giruard.... more or less. It's tough but I have ot do it.

I feel pretty determined these days to whip my own ass into shape, which is good... yesterday marked week three of body pump. I upped my weights to what I had been at before I stopped last time (4.5kg plates). The order of the tracks (and muscle groups being worked out is:
Warmup track (full body)
ab workout (no weights)
I was on the higher weights through to the end of the tricep track, then was struggling like fuck through the bicep track...had to switch down to the lower weights for the last quarter. This will probably bore you all to read, no doubt most of you have skimmed through this post. But hey, I'm posting it for myself. :)
I don't know how much I weigh because we don't own scales, but I had taken my measurements about two weeks ago...

I just realised I should have posted two Body Pump classes and tonight's Combat class in Hooblu!
I walked like an altekaker after the first Pump class. The second one (this past Sunday) has left me feeling decidedly less sore...

Went to the gym... Did a 30 minute cardio and did a quick curcuit on the machines for legs and abs. I'm not really feeling it though. I'm either going too low on the weght, or I'm taking less time to recover than I used to. mind you my legs are the strongest of all. I'm only using the machines that I know how to use, (ie. I'm not trying anything new) but once I get my "trainer" in there with me things will be different. Oh yes.. then I will feel the burn.
I think that this will make three times that I have gone this week. Not too shabby! I do know that I am down 4 pounds from before Christmas... Not sure how I pulled that off.... I'm blame it on bloating.
Perhaps I won't be so ashamed of my weight..... ok here we go... as of right now I am 199 pounds fully clothed, I wear around a size 16, sometimes bigger if the cut is slimmer. So, let's see where all this working out takes me. Since I don't know how to measure myself properly I will use clothing sizes instead of inches to track my shrinkage.
